As we focus on prayer this summer, we want to encourage you guys to sign up for a summer prayer group!
Similar to Life Change Groups during the school year where we focus on accountability and discipleship, we want to encourage everyone to meet together to pray. We’ll be forming groups of 2-3 people who you will commit to meeting with once a week to pray and intercede for each other, the church, and ultimately the mission of God to go forth.
To kick off the summer season, we’ll be having a pickleball fellowship night! Wear shoes that you can run around in, bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and get ready for an evening of friendly competition!
This summer, we’ll be focusing on prayer as a church!
Instead of our normal LIFE group time where we have a Bible study, we’ll be gathering weekly as a church to pray. Join us starting at 7 PM for some BYOD fellowship, then at 7:30 to pray.
Want to help with Campus Missions Week this fall? Come join our information session after service!
Save the date! From 3/1 – 3/8 we will be focusing on loving and blessing our neighbors as a church!
We’ll be assembling homeless care packages on 3/1!
Join us for an evening of worship as we close out the end of the first week of fasting!
FAQ:
What songs will we be playing?
- Ideally, it will be a mix of worship songs we are more familiar with / have prepared more, and spontaneous worship song requests that we can learn together as a group.
- The more defined set list can be found here: CMW Jam Night Set List
- Song requests will be via word of mouth. During the Jam Session, if you want to have the group learn a song, simply be vocal about it!
How many people will be playing at once?
- Ideally, everyone who can play, should and is encouraged to play! We will try to play as one large group. If there are many people who want to play, we may form groups that alternate in leading worship songs.
How good do I have to be to participate in the Jam Session?
- Everyone, musically inclined or not, is invited and encouraged to come. If you have a heart to worship the Lord, that’s all you need to participate! We want this to be a space where we can help each other develop the heart and the skills to worship God!
- At the Jam, you don’t have to play an instrument! You can also just fellowship and spend some with other brothers and sisters at the Jam Session!
- All levels of musicians are welcome. If you do plan on playing, the songs we’ll be playing will revolve around the utilization of basic chords, primarily in the keys of G, A, D and E (from the songs on the Set List).
What do I have to bring?
- If you plan on playing, please bring your own:
- Instrument
- Sheet Music (scales, or songs, if you need it)
- Music Stand (if you need it)
- The following equipment / materials will be available:
- 1 x Music Stand
- 1 x Acoustic Guitar
- 1 x Electric Guitar
- 1 x Ukelele
- 1 x Cajon
- 2 x Extension chords + Power Strips (for electric instruments)
- 1 x Screen for displaying Lyrics + Chords
- Chord Sheets for all songs on the Set List

For the summer season of 2025, we will be taking a break from our normal worship service format. Instead, we will be gathering together in a house-church style on Sundays at Texas Wesley.
Our aim is to provide more opportunities to do life-on-life during Sundays – we want to respond to God’s word together in sharing personally with one another, as well as spend time praying for each other and for the church.
